Heroes of Today--Extra Mile Testimony from 2007

"My life was changed forever by my time spent at the Inn last year...the lessons I learned about life, God and other people have shaped me more than I will ever begin to understand in this lifetime. This year's Extra Mile though... somehow... caused an awakening in my spirit that exceeded even that of last summer. I truly feel that EVERY moment of that trip...was constructed by God and was heavy with the Holy Spirit. I am so thankful for you both, and for everyone that has committed themselves to being instruments finely tuned to capture and nurture the spiritual potential of those both young and old, and for being willing vessels, examples, for the generations searching for the TRUTH.

Because of Extra Mile...not just Extra Mile...because of the Inn...I feel armed and ready for whatever the world holds. I know that my experience at the Inn, in reference to my last statement, does NOT mean I'm good to go, always strong, never wavering, never doubting, never falter, but I do know this:

Through you and ALL those at the Inn, your example, your teachings, your guidance, your willingness to serve and listen to God, God is working to create the belief in, the desire of, and the hunger for the kind of life God intended, while providing the Faith, the Courage, the Determination, and the Perseverance to see it through. Those in future generations and especially the generations of today do NOT have to lead timid lives, do not have to be oppressed, do not have to be nameless participants in the trends of the world, and especially do not have to fear anything but the Holy presence of God. This is the Holy fear that works inexplicably to inspire a godly boldness that not only strengthens your own life, but more importantly makes you a soldier of God in the battle we face and the calling we accept, to save His beloved children who do not yet know who their Father is....

I hope you know how much you and the rest of my CTCI family have meant to me and to my life. Thank you for your part in awakening who I am--Beloved child and Ambassador of God."
